Springfield classic. Only open for lunch but it's worth making time in the day to stop in. They are fast enough to make it during the lunch hour. Didn't forget to grab a piece of cake to go
The Cakes are phenomenal! It's the best cake I've had in my entire life. The triple chocolate is an experience to say the least. The restaurant is a favorite local lunch spot...but their cakes are famous!
Stopped in for lunch, and was surprised by how many sandwiches, and burgers were on the menu! The burger was very juicy and flavorful. The crab cakes were delicate, and not over cooked. They were so light and flaky. The banana cake is what I have always heard they were famous for, and boy did it not disappoint! A cake that taste like a tasty banana bread with a nice icing on top, must try!
First visit but we will be repeat diners! Liked the rustic, old Italy decor with sports photos. Menu has something for everyone. I had The Russo deli sub and it was both unique and delicious. My side salad was large, good and the blue cheese dressing was tasty. My wife had the crab cake salad and really liked it (very big). The crab cakes were awesome. We took two different pieces of cake home. Without a doubt the best cake in Springfield! Low price menu and great server(Loren). Highly recommend!
My favorite place to eat in Springfield. AMAZING everything. Don't forget to try the award winning banana cake. I rarely leave reviews, but this place takes the cake!
Saint Patrick's day I met my 2 friends at Saint Michael's, and we just loved the delicious food there. I had the roasted red pepper soup with bread and chips,chocolate cake with mint cream cheese icing,and the pineapple beer. We shared the spinach dip with chips. My 2 friends had the Russo sandwich,and a house salad,with the chocolate mint cake. The service was perfect,beer nice and cold,very reasonable prices too.A nice and clean place. Two thumbs .
Such a welcoming place! Everyone was so friendly and the food was so good. It was fresh and flavorful. All fresh ingredients. Good size portions also. I’ll definitely be back! Save room for dessert!
